Originally from Yamachiche, a small village in Quebec, Ben Milot rode his first motorcycle at age 9 in 1992.

It was by watching his older brother, Alex, at a race that Ben instantly fell in love with the sports and knew it would develop into more than just a passion. During his first year on the Quebec dirt bike circuit, Ben broke two bones in one of his ankles which immediately ended his very first competitive season. With characteristic determination which would become a staple of his during his entire career, he came back with a vengeance the very next season. During his fifth season he won his first two junior championships, and during his very first year in Pro-Class, became quickly recognizable by the jumps he would compete with. He was then invited by the Montreal Super Motocross to participate in jumping tournament which awakened him to a new passion: freestyle motocross.

The year 2000 marked the debut of his international career with the Athens Supercross in Greece where he finished second and decided to devote himself entirely to freestyle motocross. During the following year, Ben took part in many tournaments and events all over the world, collecting honors and accolades. Amongst the highlights of his career are many invitations to the most prestigious events in the world: the Summer X-Games, the RedBull X-Fighters and the American Arenacross Championships where he won the Jumpoff Award given to the athlete having won the most jump events during the season. He also participated in the Freestyle Motocross World Championships and won three Montreal Supercross tournaments.

Throughout his career Ben Milot has represented many of the World’s biggest brands such as Coors Light, General Motors and Rockstar Energy Drink. By doing so, he has increased the shine on his beloved sport and continued his important work by producing the DVDs Invasion 1, 2 and 3, featuring the most famous freestyle motocross athletes in the world, including Travis Pastrana and Jean-Sébastien Roy.

In 2010 he blew new life into his career by creating the Milot Land Tour, which he produces and stars in. Two years later he accepted Franco Dragone’s offer inviting him to join the team of The House of Dancing Water Show, thus splitting his time between China and Canada for five years. The experience he gained working with the show then brought him to work as a consultant with various recognizable sports and entertainment franchises such as Evenko, GP3R, the Cirque du Soleil and Gestev, thus dramatically increasing the visibility of motocross in the entertainment business.

To celebrate 25 years of his career, Ben produced the Ben Milot Land Series, an eight-episode reality documentary on the freestyle motocross world. Filming of the series took place in 2017 in China, Quebec and Ontario, and features many Canadian freestyle motocross pilots in addition to exploring many festivals and events. Aired in spring 2018, the show helped fans to truly discover the freestyle motocross universe.

In 2018 thanks to increased demand, Ben opened the Ben Milot piloting Academy which brought him to travel all over the province to meet and interact with fans and young people passionate about motocross.

Through great hardship and countless gruesome injuries, Ben Milot’s determination did not wane. He worked tirelessly to contribute to the development of his sports, and Motocross in Canada owes him big time.
